FACES OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
PRESENTED BY: Garver
From leadership skills to professional development, Katherine Norman’s internship with the Garver Water Design Center and the University of Arkansas Civil Engineering Department is equipping her to pursue her future engineering career.
After graduating from the University of Arkansas Civil Engineering Department in 2019, Garver Transportation Project Engineer Khandi Gordon has launched her Hydrology and Hydraulics career with Garver.
While bridges are a part of everyday life, many don’t stop to think about the design and detail that go into them. As an intern with the Garver Transportation Team, Hannah Allen is getting a firsthand look at what it takes to bring our communities’ bridges to life.
After interning with Garver for two summers, Sydnee Ehorn has been able to see the concepts she’s learning both in the classroom and in the field build on each other and equip her for her future career in engineering.
From signal placement to crosswalks and pavement markings, Garver Senior Transportation Project Manager David Pearce, PE (BSCE, 1997) spends his days designing the transportation projects that make our communities feel like home.
In working alongside the Garver Facilities Team, Jacob Molleston is applying the concepts he’s learning in the classroom to real world projects and learning more about what it means to be an engineer.
Growing up with an engineer for a father, Taylor McGarrah’s passion for engineering was sparked early on. Now, Garver and the University of Arkansas are helping her pursue that passion both in the classroom and in the field.
